1 chorizo sausage (1/4 lb of soyrizo if that floats your vegetarian boat)
1 can black beans
1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix
1/3 c water
1 egg or 1 egg’s worth of egg substitute
Minute 1: Start frying that chorizo stuff.
Minute 2: open the can of black beans and drain
Minute 3: stir the chorizo, preheat oven to 400
Minute 4: mix together the water and egg with the Jiffy corn muffin mix.
Minute 5: Dump the beans and the chorizo in the bottom of a 9 inch pie tin. Shake until level.
Minute 6: Plop the corn muffin mix on top, slide whole thing into the oven.
Minute 7: Set a timer. Go play some ukulele.
Minute 20: Put down the ukulele. Remove tamale pie from the oven. Let cool a little bit before noming.
