Watching Hell’s Kitchen, and the final three chefs have to create dishes from Chinese, Indian, and Mexican cuisine.
Everyone keeps talking about how ‘easy’ and ‘common’ Mexican food is.
Mexican food is neither easy (18 hours minimum for a mole, gringos!) nor common. Yes, there are burrito joints everywhere, but GUESS WHAT, GRINGOS? Burritos are not Mexican. They are Tex-Mex, which is a fancy way of saying ‘gringo’.
(Also? Mole is not ‘Mexican Chocolate Sauce’ you fools. Yes, chocolate is an ingredient, but there’s usually about 20-60 other ingredients.)
